What do the northern lights and ear wax removal have in common? Sometimes green, sometimes yellow and boy howdy is everyone excited when it finally appears
Alright, I know, that was the world’s worse dad joke but I’ve been in the warehouse for 5 hours already and the screensaver just came up on my computer showing the northern lights and then I started daydreaming about how much I’d love to see that crazy fire in the frigid tundra somewhere.
About 6 years ago, my best friend in the world was working in Tromso, Norway, the farthest north habited city in the world, as a sled dog trainer (ya I know, how the heck does someone even get that job?) and he invited me to come out for a few weeks to join him on a trip to the north pole.
I had just quit my job working in tech sales and was lucky enough to have enough money and no debt and could afford to adventure up to the baron wasteland north to have an adventure with my best buddy.
But life comes at you in so many different ways, and I had to decline the opportunity. Now my buddy is a teacher in Australia and when I’m overly tired from work and question why I chose to start my own business and work100 hour weeks, I think about that chance I had to ride carefree into the endless night, guided by huskies, malamute, half-wolves and the northern lights to the north pole.
it’s funny when you’re young(er), you don’t realize how few chances you get to attempt something great. And the moments that haunt you in life are when you don’t take the risk or don’t pursue the opportunity. I have a great life right now, don’t get me wrong, but I look back at what could’ve been and wish I could have had this one experience more.
Alright! enough mushy stuff and back to what everyone wants to talk about! Ear Wax Removers.
