Cleaning Instructions

NOTE: After every operation, the nebulizer must be cleaned following the cleaning instructions provided with this device and highlighted below.  Please continue with the cleaning instructions before moving forward with the next tasks.

Cleaning the Accessory Parts – Solution Cup and Mask or Mouthpiece

By Completing tasks 15-20 above, there are now 4 total pieces to clean: A mouthpiece or mask, the top of the solutions cup, the bottom of the solutions cup and the jet cone.

Wash all items, except air tube, in a warm water/dishwashing detergent solution. Rinse under warm tap water for 30 seconds to remove detergent residue. Allow to air dry on clean paper towel until all visible water is gone.

Cleaning the Compressor

Wipe outside of the compressor enclosure with a clean damp cloth every few days to keep dust free.

NOTE: Do not use boiling water to clean the accessory parts as this can risk deforming the pieces. WARNING: Do not submerge hands or any other body parts in water over 120°F.  At 130°F, water can cause burns in 30 seconds and at 140°F, in just 3 seconds. NOTE: do not towel dry nebulizer parts, this could cause contamination. NOTE: always reconnect the jet cone to the bottom of the solutions cup after cleaning and before returning device to storage as the nebulizer will not work without the jet cone WARNING: To prevent possible risk of infection from contaminated cleaning solutions, always prepare fresh solution for each cleaning cycle and discard solution after each use. WARNING: Keep the outer surface of the air tube dust-free by wiping regularly. Do not submerge air tube in water as it could lead to bacterial growth.  Air tube does not have to be washed because only filtered air passes through it. NOTE: Even with regular cleaning and disinfecting, the reusable accessory kit must be replaced every 6 months or risk contamination. NOTE: The nebulizer kit will age after a number of cleaning and/or disinfection cycles. If you find any discolor or physical change, please replace nebulizer kit with a new one immediately or risk contamination.

22.   Once solutions cup top and bottom, jet cone and mask or mouthpiece are dry after cleaning, reconnect the jet cone to the bottom of the solutions cup by pushing it gently on and reconnect the cup top and cup bottom by twisting the cup top clockwise.

23.   Once cleaning instructions have been followed, put compressor and accessories components into carrying case

24.   Store in Warm, Dry location
